Each project here solves a real problem β€” AI retrieval, fraud detection, stateful UI at scale. Not demos. The same class of problems you'd find inside a product team.

Nihonken

An interactive web app to explore Japan's prefectures

NihonKen is an AI-driven prefecture exploration platform that transforms how users discover Japan's 47 regions. It blends curated geographical and cultural data with a conversational AI interface, enabling users to ask real-time, context-aware questions about destinations β€” from local cuisine and festivals to hidden travel experiences. The application leverages a retrieval-augmented approach to deliver accurate, personalized insights, offering a modern, user-centric alternative to static travel resources.

NihonKen addresses this by providing an AI-assisted discovery platform that allows users to explore Japan's 47 prefectures through an interactive interface and ask natural-language questions to receive contextual insights on destinations, experiences, and travel planning.

Risk Lens

Real-time financial transaction scoring with a no-code rule engine.

A fraud detection dashboard that ingests transactions in real time, scores each one against a configurable rule engine, and surfaces high-risk activity for analyst review. Every approval, rejection, and config change is written to an immutable audit log β€” making compliance exports a single click.

Fraud teams are often locked out of their own detection logic, waiting on engineers to update hardcoded thresholds. Risk Lens puts rule authoring directly in the analyst's hands: any field, any condition, instant rescoring of the full backlog on save.

Omikuji for Devs

Draw your fortune at the dev shrine.

Omikuji for Devs is an interactive fortune-telling web app inspired by the Japanese shrine tradition of drawing omikuji slips. Each draw reveals a developer-themed fortune across four categories β€” 全体運 (overall), 仕事運 (work), 学問運 (study), and εŠ©θ¨€ (advice) β€” ranging from 倧吉 (great fortune) to 倧凢 (great misfortune). Built over a pixel art shrine scene with an animated shake-and-reveal mechanic.

Developers spend a lot of time in terminals and PR queues. Sometimes you just need the universe to weigh in. This app provides that β€” a moment of ritual before you push to main.
